Hopefully TIkTok drags out any appstore ban until these changes take effect. This will be a good long term play by Apple to hedge their bread and butter hardware sales in a bifurcated tech ecosystem when the US escalates global decoupling and the new cold war.

As part of the changes, customers could ultimately download third-party software to their iPhones and iPads without using the company’s App Store,

They may have a workaround for that. You can't load google apps onto Huawei phones, even if you sideload it.

House is now under investigation by the police and has been fired by Xiaoguo. The authorities fined Xiaoguo to the max permitted under the law. After being banned by Beijing and Shanghai authorities, Xiaoguo said they are suspending all performances.

Apparently this is not the first time Xiaoguo's performers got in trouble.

In seriousness, China did use both small and large scale methane production, primarily from pig manure. Most of it went away as the electric power grid expanded.
