Apple will in a year or two in order to comply with EU regulations. Once that happens, I can see workarounds to a TikTok/WeChat ban on iOS just like what is currently possible on Android. Hopefully TIkTok drags out any appstore ban until these changes take effect. This will be a good long term play by Apple to hedge their bread and butter hardware sales in a bifurcated tech ecosystem when the US escalates global decoupling and the new cold war.

They may have a workaround for that. You can't load google apps onto Huawei phones, even if you sideload it.
Completely untrue. An acquaintance of mine has been using Google apps on Huawei phones (currently HarmonyOS 3.0.0) for years. Sideloading alone is not enough.
Didn't Gbox and Gspace allow you to use Google apps on Huawei phones.

He and his agency Xiaoguo initially issued a "too bad you were offended" non-apology which didn't pass muster with the public. House is now under investigation by the police and has been fired by Xiaoguo. The authorities fined Xiaoguo to the max permitted under the law. After being banned by Beijing and Shanghai authorities, Xiaoguo said they are suspending all performances.
Apparently this is not the first time Xiaoguo's performers got in trouble.
