The US neocons and warhawks believes they can easily win a cold or hot war against China. Despite the fact they circling around like a headless chicken in Ukraine.
Lmao at "we have the capability". Last time you went up there you were throwing sticks and rocks while Chinese soldiers in riot gear just stared you down and then dispersed you with a microwave. Like you would deal with an unruly horde and not how you deal with an army.
India is many dozens of years behind even USA, surpassing China is a pipe dream. Maybe first they should surpass Pakistan in living standards.
The American government and media, have totally lost it.
Just the past couple of days, I read stories about these exact things in China, some of which were posted in this forum.

How on earth can the American government ban this?
In the case of the Saudis, why aren't they using American AI and making high profile deals with American AI companies? After all, the Americans and Saudis are suppose to be allies. Ban them, I guess.
They have gone silly in their rage of whatever.
Nothing anyone can do to help them.
The easiest way to get a parade going in India is to start a rumor about expedited visas. Too bad this only starts a parade to the US or Canadian embassy.
It has been rumoured that Facebook is behind this push to ban TikTok. Facebook (or Meta lol) has been going down recently and the US is trying to rescue them. So, TikTok will surely be banned, no question about it
This is really just an American story, and not a global story. Although this American story will have a global influence.
If the Americans via their cell phone operating system monopoly reserves the right to ban whatever app they want, most definitely other countries will not be comfortable with that. They will move away and seek alternatives.

It is not a rumor, there had been some investigative reporting that found FB funded "thinktanks"/marketing companies are the ones creating scary stories about tiktok in the media. Every American is well aware of who owns tiktok and the risk of using a scary chinese app, but they prefer it. Isn't that how a democracy works? Freedom of choice ? lol I guess not, when the deep hands and rich pockets actually control the government.
