Freedom of speech for anti-China traitors but not for pro-China ones. This is political persecution and bias, straight and simple. Wu Xiaolei is absolutely based.
Meanwhile rampant anti-asian discrimination, death threats and attacks caused by American propaganda is conveniently ignored by the American "justice" system.
OK nobody here loves Chinese patriots and looks down on hanjian more than me but this is definitely not a case of biased freedom of speech in the US (although there are many true examples). This patriot stalked a hanjian on campus, publically tried to locate his residence, and threatened to chop off his hands (according to the article). That's not going to fly no matter what you stand for.
Chinese patriots are in a dangerous environment in the West. We are not home; we cannot act like this is China. We are in the enemy's den and our best weapon and defense is concealment of our patriotism (although it does not
ever mean to mimic a hanjian). We must study a STEM field legally, quitely and privately, and when we are ready, go home. That is the number one thing that the US fears; the US has absolutely no fear of Chinese people who go to the US and commit petty crimes in broad daylight for the love of the motherland. They want all Chinese patriots to out ourselves like that. We do not have protection or support from public opinion or the law. This patriot could not control his rage at seeing the hanjian so he was baited into doing something that was not only useless but also illegal. Don't be like him. Follow the law, study hard, lay low, go home.
