US is headed for Brezhnev era isolationism. They know they cannot compete in the free marketplace.

Pity on the non-independent countries unable to extract themselves from the US union already. Because when they end up falling far behind due to restrictive policies, these countries will be hurt even more than US itself, because at least America will have the inferior options they self developed for autarky. While the banana republics get zero domestic productivity.

We have UN standing commitee because during ww2, the major powers were united against nazism.

That India think they deserve UNSC when they were hard carried and did no sacrifices in ww2, barely had a functioning society let alone an army that helped fight fascism, is highly insulting. Had they not been saved by Russia and China, they would be part of Japan's co-prosperity sphere. Knowing that the racial hierarchy of the Japanazi goes: Jap >>> other East Asian > caucasian >>> brown people, looking at how they even treated the 2nd and 3rd tiers, you can yourself deduce how fun it would be for Indians if they were enslaved.

The seats are reserved for the countries that actually fought, and really only US, China, USSR and UK. I assume France is there because US talked the rest into allowing 1 more western country and people were too tired of conflict to say no.
