If you're Turkmenistan, would you allow any gas transit through your territory to China? They don't want competition going through their own countrySo, they need to look into getting pipeline built from Iran for both oil and natural gas. You want to get to a point where you are not dependent on any LNG, because the latter is expensive
Turkmenistan could capitalize on transit fees as well as maybe pump their own gas into that pipelineIf you're Turkmenistan, would you allow any gas transit through your territory to China? They don't want competition going through their own country
The rail way already goes through Afghanistan. You can try building pipeline across Afghanistan. If you're Turkmenistan, would you allow any gas transit through your territory to China? They don't want competition going through their own country
Serbia is in a very tough spot. What is their primary import/export port?
From Army export thread. Serbia buying more FK-3 and HQ-17A from China.
This is after the free trade agreement last year which some Western critics freaked out about.
Talks here of using Yuan as trading currency
There is the major investment recently into renewable sector of Serbia
I wonder if we can get Serbia to buy more weapons like artillery or armored vehicles or even something like JF-17/J-10C
Rail going through the Himalayas is difficult. Not impossible considering the Karakorum Highway that was built there, connecting Pakistan to China; but given how difficult and deadly that project was, rail through the same area may not be ideal. The rail way already goes through Afghanistan. You can try building pipeline across Afghanistan.
If that's too problematic for you, you can build one from Pakistan. And then you get Iran -> Pakistan -> China through smaller part of Afghanistan and Tajikistan.
If that's too hard to build, then you can still try building an oil pipeline through Turkmenistan.
You need the oil more than the gas in a war scenario.
Whatever you do, keep working on getting that rail corridor going. You need minerals from Afghanistan and Iran.
Serbia is landlocked after Montenegro broke away then joined NATO. That worries me.Serbia is in a very tough spot. What is their primary import/export port?
