I am worried for Serbia not able to recieve external assistance due to it being landlocked in time of need even if China or Russia want to help. Serbia is special to many Chinese due to 1999 bombing, it is personal besides calculation of interests.
I have no personal attachment to Serbia despite being around for that incident. I do think they are different from rest of European countries due to their close attachment to Russia and Belarus.
Since we are during peace time, there is no reason for Chinese military cargo planes not allowed to deliver weaponry into the country. During war time, that might be a different story. So, maybe the lesson is Serbia needs to spend some additional money on its military sooner than later.
The collapse of Yugoslavia was a highly successful US regime change operation. Yugoslavia had one of the largest standing armies in Europe, and they were socialist. So of course the NED and George Soros had to agitate the whole place to break the country down. Much like in Ukraine today the US also sponsored former Nazi collaborators in Croatia and conducted ethnic cleansing of Serbs living in Croatian territory. They sponsored an Islamic insurgency in Kosovo. The whole deal in Yugoslavia with Serbia is a smaller scale version of what happened after the Soviet collapse to Russia really. So it really resonates with Russian people.
Of course the US also tries to do these influence operations in China, including in Tibet, Xinjiang, Hong Kong, but thankfully it has failed there.

For china, key to Serbia is Greece and northern Macedonia which need for linking Hungary. What china should do is a trade corridor from thessaloniki to Budapest whatever road rail or canal. (May Upset turkey but shouldn't care)
Greece is like china's Pakistan of Europe, a top economic and political ally of china during peacetime. Turkey can be compare to India in some extend.
Anytime china wants to do any favor to turkey, must also account the relation with Greece too.

The "wishful thinking" is your thoughts about turkey. Can Pakistan veto EU decision like Greece do? Do Pakistan having common market with EU? Greece did create a loop hole of tariff within EU, far more useful during peacetime.

the reason India and China won’t ever get along isn’t due to border issues. It’s due to India looking to be hegemon in its backyard and China’s need to prevent that.
China and turkey are not on the same level in term of power. No one will ever be dumb enough to say we will counter China with turkey. It’s not a thing.
