UAE and the other gulf states has deep military ties to Pakistan. Who do you think funds Pakistan's military? It certainly isn't the IMF.
What does that have anything to do with this? And no, the two countries that provide the most assistance to Pakistan are China and Saudi Arabia.

UAE's military training with China is about the two countries. And frankly, it's best kept that way, so that other countries don't think China is using them for political point. They've had enough of western countries playing the China card on everything.

China sells arms to Pakistan, China doesn't give them away for free. Where do you think that money comes from besides Saudi Arabia?

Also Saudi Arabia and its close gulf allies is probably very upset at India's recent attempt to block BRICS expansion and SCO expansion (check out Kazakh President Tokayev's statement at the SCO). I can assure you we aren't the only people throwing shade at India right now, the rest of the global south have their concerns too.

China and Russia are on the same page about this, they plan to roll out more multilateral cooperations excluding India very soon, probably including Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

it's called CPEC. China invests a lot of money into Pakistan.

China is in the midst of building partnership with UAE & Saudi where it trades technology help for a lot of investment. Don't mess your relationship up with middle east money by bringing other countries into play here. Unless of course, they need to throw shades at Israel

something to think about

There are bigger things at play than India. Frankly, I don't understand the obsession with India on this forum. China can build relationship with the middle east outside of BRICS

Financial backer of Pakistan's military and China plan a joint airforce exercise in Xinjiang (closest practical training spots to India), you don't think this sends a signal? If the situation is reversed, Germany/EU and Philippines host a joint naval exercise in the South China sea do you also think this doesn't send a signal (to China)?

有不愿意透露姓名的军事专家对《环球时报》表示,从此次中阿空军联演的代号“猎鹰盾牌”来看,双方非常可能进行的是对抗性的课目演练。
This exercise is meant to be simulate each other's fighter as the enemy.

What planes does UAE have? F-16E/F Block 60 and Mirage 2000. Do you think the US will allow UAE to fly F-16 to Xinjiang to have a joint airforce training with China? Guess who happens to have an exercise right now on the Chinese border near Xinjiang. Why this same country also happens to use Mirage 2000 for its high altitude operations. What a coincidence o_O

Protip: check out the other operators of Mirage 2000 and think about why this joint airforce exercise isn't held elsewhere in China ;)

The Indian Air Force has invested very smartly in finding the spares for the Mirages in form of phased out old French aircraft and this is going to help the Air Force maintain them till 2035, the sources said.
The Mirages have been in service from the 1980s and have been the mainstay of the force from the Kargil war to the 2019 Balakot airstrikes where they bombed a Jaish e Mohammed terrorist camp in Pakistan.
The Mirages also successfully took out

The joint exercise is between UAE and China. There isn't a hidden message or targeted against anyone.

Its a win-win, China can simulate against Indian and Taiwanese Mirage 2000 while UAE wants to get more exposure to Chinese air systems so that they can see if its worth it to invest there.

Its win win for both sides, especially for China if it can prove to UAE the superiority of its air systems and convince UAE to go to China for its 5th gen fighter needs

Relatively to all that, sending a message to India is nowhere near the top of China's objectives from this exercise

Those "bigger things" are now involving India. India now choose the west, sabotaging SCO and openly hostile to china. Why should china support India for anything.
China now rather make India's neighbors join with Pakistan, support rebels in northeast India.

Like its previous colonial master, India has the gift of the gab. China has the gift of wisdom.
