bad question to ask. A.Man doesn't really care where or how the picture gets here, he just posts whatever he sees and copies the original poster's comment without any kind of thought process.

I seriously doubt that's the 6th 039B.

I am dubious too.

The fourth 039B just left Wuhan in a floating dock. The fifth is still fitting out at Jiangnan.

The picture might conceivably be Hull 4 at Shanghai, though I do not recognise the background.

Everyone is free to think as he likes, I shall stay with 16 SONG’s, including 317 and 318.

Something was stirring in my memory:

When doing the list of Great Wall subs, Xinhui actually forgot that on 8 August 2008 he posted a picture of SONG Changcheng 217.

So there is photographic confirmation of both 317 and 318.

Thanks (sort of). But I really do not recognise the place - remember, I have just seen photos and GE images of Jiangnan, I have not been closer than about 15,000 km to the place.

But now that you say so, I assume that the building behind the YUAN II is the one just south-west of the launch basin, meaning the sub is where it has been all the time?

That would also be the place where WOZANG class Type 082 II Hull 2 818 was seen, see Minesweeper thread # 64?

Yes the Yuan is at where it used to be, like what we've seen before on aerial photos, you can see assembly hall 1 in the background.

yep, it's from JN for sure. Saw this recent photo from there.

Looks like there are two Yuans getting fitted out. I'm assuming here that no JN 039B have been delivered to the navy yet.

Looks like JN is finally putting its military yard to full use, I assume the Yuans were built in the dedicated sub facility next to the main assembly hall.
