Guys...we are beating this to death.

It is simply too soon to confirm that the vessel in question is a carrier.

it very well could be...but not enough of her is complete yet to confirm it.

Anyone can believe whatever they wish about it...but until quite a few more months go by and we get a lot more of the structure and layout appearing...we simply will not be able to confirm it.

So let's stop with the endless pictures of the same thing we have seen numerous times now.

When we get something new, we will pick it back up.

In the mean time, there are many other developments associated with the Chinese carrier program, with the Liaoning, her air wing, and with future plans that we can concentrate on.

Exactly..well stated Jeff. NOT ONE of we SDF members know for sure. To me right as of this moment..all I see is a ship at the beginning stages of construction.

Can China build a CV/LHA/LHD? Of course. And in due time we shall see!

Also the Chinese maritime administration issued an announcement of banning civil navigation within that area:

Bohai Strait North of the Yellow Sea on June 12 between 1700 and June 19 1600 hours, perform military task sin the waters of the following lines:

1. 38°51′41″N 121°38′12″E
2. 38°34′12″N 121°38′12″E
3. 38°33′55″N 121°07′51″E
4. 38°48′13″N 121°14′03″E

I hope the Liaoning is soon ready to do to China's adversaries what that news site did to the english of that sentence :p
