I'm no architect but those bones don't look like no building :) ... No seriously, the pillings, the excavation, the trusses etc are all wrong for a multi story commercial building. I also do not see any primary columns and when you build a building you usually put all four sides up at the same time not two and leave the other two open.

Of course I am by no means sure lol. just an amatuer's perspective.

Assembly plants are commonly built this way.

True... It could be 100 different things right now all I'm saying is at this point in the construction it does not appear to be that of a regular office' building, a casino, a hotel or a shopping mall or a typical building with 4 walls and a roof.

I believe this is a "proof of principle" mock up module of a carrier maybe for shipyard in question to demonstrate carrier building

It clear the is a show piece even has a little office outside plus those block numbers for modular construction

But then what appears to be more modules behind it?

Back to the Wuhan construction for a moment, both the CV-16 and the Type 055 CG mockups are very near life sized mock ups. I'd expect the same would be true for a next gen carrier mock up since there is ample room. It's probably just framework for another building.

The latest photos of the Jiangnan module, has the (suspected) "catapult trench" (?) design been changed since the last time we had some photo?

I haven't observed any meaningful changes compared to previous photos

But then again these photos are many times better than previous photos so who knows

I tried looking for past photos of the module in the "PLAN Carrier Construction" thread. There are a couple of reasonably quality photo of it on page 14 of that thread: originally posted in August 2013 (?).

Realised that these new batch of photo are pretty much the first time we see this side of the module! All photos that I've seen shows the "supposed catapult trench" on the right side of the "supposed flight deck". These new photos shows the "trench" on the left: looking from the other end of the module.

My original question was, have they modified "the trench". However, given what we have, we can't really tell. Unless someone has photos that shows this end from a year ago?

Perhaps we can say, previous photos shows the "bow facing side" of the module. These newest photos show the "stern facing side" of the module?
