To my set of untrained eyes, that looks like the first photo confirmation of a catapult capable J-15 (version) development! This is great news: an early X'mas present; especially after suffering nearly a year without much news of the Liaoning and the J-15.

If they have already started designing a cat capable J-15, does that mean their cat design has already reached a stage where they estimated a real cat capable test plane will be needed soon?

In any case, that J-15 is obviously a mock up.

I thought the catapult latch in front of the front landing gear is a shadow but apparently it isn't... But it may just be for the mock up to be dragged around.

Honestly I wouldn't put too much stock into this particular photo, but at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if they've already started working on J-15s adapted for catapult use.

Anyway there was once a Russian proposal (very early indeed) for a Su-33 + catapult-gear !

There's something going on at Wuhan recently leading to some speculations about being related to the CVN-002 carrier maybe ??!!

Even if highly anticipated ... I'm for the moment still very skeptical since this could also be the fundament of a new shopping-mall !

Hmmm! it actually does look like they are building a mockup of some big vessel but whatever it is I'm quite sure it's not a shopping mall though ;) .. ok maybe it's an Exchange lol.
