PLA Strategy in a Taiwan Contingency

That means China must be prepared to fight a full-scale war on two separate fronts simultaneously.

Thankfully, China has the Himalayan mountain ranges and the Tibetan Plateau as a natural shield. What China can do from now on are to build more airbases and runways + roadway strips, more roads and railway lines, plus more platforms and installations that will enable long-range operations of the PLAAF, PLAGF and PLARF across unforgiving terrain and on extended durations ().

In the meantime, China should start working towards establishing arrangements with Nepal, Myanmar and Pakistan that would allow the PLAAF to utilize their airspaces, PLAGF to station surveillance and intelligence equipment (and when required, transportation of troops, equipment and material through their territory), and PLAN to dock warships at their ports in times of war with India.

On the other hand, 2035? Really?
Indeed, things are in all likelihood going to come to a head by 2025 so anything later is going to be but a moot point in any event.

India, Taiwan Hold Military Simulations Focusing On Indo-China Border, Taiwan Strait Amid Beijing’s Muscle Flexing

Think tanks from Taiwan and India recently concluded the military simulations, which focused on scenarios pertaining to the Taiwan Strait and the Sino-Indian border in 2035.

I can't express how happy I was after reading this news, maybe not as happy as PLA Western Theater Command.
Happy that we get to finally shoot jeets, or happy that India will totally f*ck up any exercise, training or otherwise, that they participate in?

Imagine what if tens of thoudands of the PRC's fifth column in Taiwan have joined the ROC's military services and ready to change side when AR started. And this is not without precedence as there were many occurences of KMT forces changed side during the Chinese Civil war.

Now even the Wanwanese have their own exclusive "fifth column" numbered in the 100s of 1000s??

Speaking of which, why does that Puma Shen guy looks like the Asian version of a certain guy who thinks that India >>> China not long ago?

That would mean the 5th column is almost on par with actual ROC full time active duty which is only ~150,000
If that were the case, then there is no hope to fight. Just reunify peacefully, lol what a clown.

thoughts? feasibility for the US? good news bad news for China?
If they are going to be same useless expensive drones that they give to Ukraine, then is bad news to other side. China could simple outproduce by a pretty big factor, converting the entire straight and close areas into a Chinese minefield of UAVs, USVs and UUVs.
