I wonder why Japan amd Korea dun compete well in diving events. Usually if China is dominant in a sports, japan or Korea isn’t that far behind. Like in table tennis, badminton, and probably shooting.

Bro, you are still thinking like team China should brush aside everyone off and dominate in TT. That’s not the case anymore. Harimoto is a tough opponent. He is in top ten. He has beaten the top Chinese players before. He was also considered a top prodigy when he first appeared in the competitive scene. International table tennis is very cut throat now. Especially on the men’s side. Very competitive. But even Indian female players have beaten top Chinese female player recently In smaller competition. That created a lot of uproar in China social media.

From what I heard, the Indians are using a different type of material on their rackets. That caused some getting used to for the other players. Harimoto is not a big deal at all. But there are some Europeans, like the French brothers, who are very strong.

There are 8 medal events in Olympics diving I doubt they made a clean sweep before but I need to check. came close to it once I think. But usually the men’s 10m platform has issues.

just checking from Sydney 2000 games, Yes you are right, China never did clean sweep. In Sydney they had 5 golds, Athens and London 6. The rest of the games they had 7. Missing out on 1.
