That's capitalism. If the opposing teams can afford it. The funds one get will help R&D to get better stuff, as long as it's not illegal or cheating. That's the fundamental basis of improving and progressing to better things.
No, that's not the same logic at all. Nobody has ever claimed France, Spain, UK, etc... to be the same country. Olympic medals are for countries, not alliance blocks. But the whole world recognizes China's dominion over Hong Kong and Taiwan... well, I think there's still a dozen local grocery store-sized countries that don't...
That's... not my idea; I didn't mean that it should be that way. I meant that I think it's already the current standard of practice for every competitive sport I know of.
Why pick Indonesia? There are tons and tons of smaller poorer countries that outperform India by magnitudes. Romania has 93 gold; Cuba has 86; Kenya, Jamaica, even ROC has 20 and they're like a tumor that fell off of China's ass. Shit, South Korea got 13 just this one time, which is more than everything in India's history... and it's half a nation! India's athletically retarded; anybody can beat India at sports.
Indonesia doesn't have loads of fast twitch black athletes, proper Soviet infrastructure, sporting culture, extra wealth etc. They have many of the problems that India uses for excuses. SEA are laggards in medals. And yet they still beat India despite being smaller. It is almost a mystery at this point.
Indonesia is still part asiatic. Some of them are indistinguishable from East Asians.
