I got fainted twice looking at this pic!!! what a holy sh*t!!! star war? not only J-10 should be careful but also the F-22 and F-35.

some picture of J-10's canopy, radar absorbant?

well, a lot of rumours here. First surrounding J-10 vs su-30mkk in WVR.
says that before a holiday, J-10 and su-30mkk went 1 on 1 in a WVR. J-10 went from being in emergency state position to good position (I suppose this means from getting chased by mkk to getting behind the butt of mkk) in 10 seconds and mkk lost.

some rumoured figures

at some height, A0oA's speed, 594 km/h
used this to get 302.5 as the instantaneous turn radius
Eah[sV%O
11.52 s as the time to turn 360 degrees
31.2 degrees for instantaneous turn rate.

Is any pix of WS-10 machine. How about its comparison comparing with AL-31FN? What the WS stand for?

Gold tint has also appeared in the canopies of Su-27s and J-11s, not all, but in many pictures do they.

It may have to do with absorbing radar to reduce RCS, but there may also be a health reason behind it. I don't think pilots will be healthy if they are subjected to the radiation of fighter radar from another fighter, even in exercises, like when two planes are trying to lock on to each other.

WS stands for Wushan I think, as oppose to WP or Wopen.

Not sure if I'm nitpicking now or didn't understand you correct. I always thought that thin gold layer on the canopies was there to deflect incoming radar waves in all directions. But not to let them through the canopy where those rdr-waves would hit the ejection seat wich is a rather good rdr reflector.
Never heard that there's actually RAM on the canopies, especially gold won't absorb radar anyway.
Golden canopies seem to be pretty standart lately.

Reflecting happens to only increase RCS, not decrease it. A canopy with a reflection can create a radar "highlight" much like visual highlights. Is it really gold, I think it may be just a plastic film like a car tint.

My understanding of that point was that the gold layer on the canopy scatters the rdr waves instead of letting them pass, being reflected by the ejection seat, pilot helm and displays back to the transmitter in a bundled fashion. Wich I think is worse than deflecting it. But there seem to have been improvements in recent years. It's possible to use ferrites in "iron ball paint" to absorb rdr, though I'm not sure if it's transparent.
One thing I came across in that direction (F-16 canopy) was "indium-tin-oxide". It's transparent in very thin layers but yellowish to grey when thicker. And it's main feature is to combine electrical conductivity and transparency within certain limits. With tphuangs photos (greyish canopy) I could imagine that.

BTW, 10sec to get from a "being chased" into a "chase position", as tphuang quoted, wouldn't that be rather fast against a Su-30? Well on the other hand 10s can be pretty long in a dogfight. How long does such a manuever take "normally"?

The USN EA-6Bs also have golden tinted canopies, to protect their crews & sensitive electronics from high radiation levels.
All the electronics equipment and personnel inside the plane are protected from the radiation produced by the jammers by a special gold filament on both the canopies, which is yet another feature unique to the Prowler.
