althought inferior to the raptor f22 , but i still cant help expressing my irrepressible excitement，yes i am from China. I wanna have a drink with my friends immediately!Kudos to China!

thanks, I was wondering why I couldn't access Chinese websites for the last couple of days.

Here is a 2 minute clip of J-10 from CCTV. This video should convince anyone who previously thought J-10s do not have in-flight refueling capability.

Best news to come from J-10 front in a long time. Atleast now there can be a few more official details released and who knows this could be a preparation for opening this plane for exports......

Sources with the Air Force of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) said Friday that it has been equipped with China-made new-generation fighter aircraft, the Jian-10, or Fighter-10.

An Air Force officer told Xinhua the force's "overall battle effectiveness has been noticeably enhanced" after being equipped with the aircraft and through intensive drills and training.

He disclosed that Jian-10 was capable of launching "precision attacks while hedgehopping and making long-distance assaults at altitude above 10,000 meters". Air fleet drills have also been successfully carried out, he said.

The Information Office of the State Council also said on Friday in a white paper on national defence: "The Air Force is working to build an 'informationized' air fighting force with both offensive and defensive capabilities.

"It is reducing the number of combat aircraft, giving priority to the development of new fighters as well as air and missile defense weapons," it said.

The military sources have never revealed the specifications of Jian-10, but foreign observers have said it is comparable to mainstream fighter aircraft in the West.

and interesting enough, CCTV 7 is apparently revealing some stats on J-10, I'm not sure these are official or not.
roll rate: > 300 degrees
Instantaneous turn rate: > 31 degrees
highest speed at sea level: 1450 KM/h = mach 1.18
service ceiling: > 20000 m
G-limit: +9G/-3G
Can reach mach2.0 with 3 fuel tank + 4 AAMs
Can reach a maximum speed of mach 2.34 with nothing loaded
In comparison: F-16 can barely touch mach 2.0 with nothing loaded and su-27 can only reach mach 1.72 with full load of missiles.

range:
for long range air superiority mission with 3 external tanks + 2 Pl-8/2 PL-12 - in hi profile, combat radius is 1110 kM
for interception mission with 1 external tank + 4 PL-12/2-PL-8, in hi profile, combat radius is 900 km.
Not including in-flight refueling

J-10's maximum subsonic unstable degree? 10 degrees (apparently this is higher than that of Typhoon).
