BYD was given the lightest of tariffs. And EU also said that the more you cooperated with the "probe", the less tariffs you would get.

If true, BYD executives should be facing prison time
Or BYD has something new up their sleeve. The European Commission won't comprehend how competitive China's EV market is and how fast some of China's EV companies can innovate.

Yeah, right, Huawei should dissolve themselves.

Before, I loved the idea of reunification, but after talking with my Taiwanese friends, I recognize that China should just let Taiwan be. I hope China can become self-reliant on semiconductors as quick as possible. Taiwanese people hate China so much.
I have no idea what is in my friends mind, they are high educated with an engineer degree, but got shitty jobs in a cinema or metro station. They are thinking people from mailand are brainwashed, but it´s them.
When I’ve invited them to come to China to China with their own eyes, they rejected, they believe to get caught at the airport, because their Facebook is full with anti-China propaganda.
They don’t understand why I am trying to find a job in China, instead of Taiwan.
How to put this... Your friends sound like losers who fail at life, like HK roaches. No wonder they're full of hatred - deep down they hate themselves the most.

My advice is to just leave them, you will not grow, learn or otherwise benefit from being around them - they are of no value to you.

Are your friends from southern Taiwan? My family is from the north, where people are generally more pro-China.

You should keep on trying to convince them to visit China. When I was in middle school, I was stupid and didn't like China either, but I changed my mind after visiting Shanghai haha

As in BYD offering to send managers and engineers to those EU countries to facilitate the information transfer by assisting in the translation and transition of process and product knowledge by working closely with the VW, MB, etc managers and engineers in their workplaces? Yeah that'll be hard keeping the information transfer in just one direction. BYD has several things up their sleeve.

The Hinduja family forced vulnerable domestic workers from India to work excruciatingly long hours at their villa in Geneva. The court found the workers were paid a pittance in Indian rupees, not Swiss francs.

you can always rely on German elites to be in favour of white supremacism, even if it damages their own nation.

Niall Ferguson's views blow with the wind. He's the one that went around describing the Sino-US relationship as a marriage. Now all of the sudden he's talking decoupling. Now he paints the US is actually in the Soviet Union's place during the Cold War. His only advantage is he sees the writing on the wall as much as a near-sighted person can see without their glasses while most other Westerners are blinded by arrogance.

Nothing to worry about. The army will continue to be “voluntary service”1 as it always has.

1 - Failure to volunteer will incur the following penalties
1a - denial of financial services
1b - denial of driver licenses
1c - denial of public services
1d - additional penalties may apply
The issue of having a mandatory service is that people are going to question why they are send to fight for things they don't care, it put a bigger political weight to the wars that the UK decide to fight.
While an professional army of conscripts they don't have a political motivation, fighting is their job and what they are pay for.
