One notable country is being such a disappointment once again

Being committed to being a US puppet in 2025 is about as dumb as it gets

One notable country is such a disappointment once again

Imagine still being committed to being a US puppet in 2025
Not surprising to say the least. The head of state is the son of a dictator who stashed all his wealth in the USA. He doesn't listen to his people, but rather to his country's second colonizers (whose language is an official language of their country, over many indigenous ones). The country is named after their first colonizer's king. This is the only Christian majority country in the Asia-Pacific, and there's significant internalized racism and inferiority complex among the people. Don't expect much out of this artificial country.

All of ASEAN is coming, except for Singapore whose leader was in Beijing just two months ago, then we do not really know who is leader of Thailand, then there is Brunei, and of course Marcos Jr.

There is something wrong with the Philippines, they are so out of step with the rest of ASEAN. Taking a confrontational approach with China has gotten the Philippines minimal results, as a country.

It is apparent to ASEAN people that the Americans are behind this.

Does not matter how true or untrue that really is, if that is the case, that the CIA has Marcos Jr by the balls. People in ASEAN will believe that.

The Americans are kind of stupid. If ASEAN thinks you're doing underhanded things in the neighbourhood, that will not get the locals to enthusiastically support the USA.

The world has changed. These old tricks are a path to hell. Maybe it was always a path to hell, but today its different. Countries have a chance now. Do not screw that up by allowing some CIA plot into the nation.

Normal countries: Wishing Pakistan a Happy Independence Day.

Indian PM/FM and all Indian embassies meanwhile tweeting this crap:
A nation of 1 billion can't get over partition...
For indians (for Pakistan too, tbf, but for them independence is even larger) it comes with very painful memories and 7-digit death toll.

A lot of Filipinos are part Chinese and in quite a lot of cases in their elites, literally Chinese. So you cannot say it's a genetic issue since they are probably closer to China than other ASEAN places. Somewhere along the way the brains got messed up with the wrong beliefs and never fixed it.

Westoids always call Islam a conquest religion that changes the mindset of people to be subservient to the middle east. So couldn't the same be said of Christianity for the west even though Jesus was from the middle east?

All Abrahamic religions are cancer. The Sinosphere is the only place in the world where it hasn't penetrated, except for South Korea. Likewise for Indo-European languages/peoples.

China really is an exceptional civilization-state. The only other origin of writing still in use today - all others are descendant of hieroglyphics. While other places may be descendant from other different language families, or may have different religions (Hinduism being most notable), these are only exceptions generally within the entire culture.

No Thailand? Interesting, too many domestic issues or are they just avoiding Cambodia?

Current PM under investigation for an accusation that she secretly cooperate with Combodia to undermine Thailand situation at borders. There are phone converstaion leaked from Cambodia side that she talk about TH military as her opposition and she and Combodia are on the same side.
