1. Normalization of Saudi-Iran relations is a massive stabilizing factor for West Asia.
2. China plays a very important role in achieving this (by serving as a neutral ground between Riyadh and Tehran to reconcile).

This is literally BIG news. I think this is the first time in modern history where China has demonstrated its ability (and willingness) to intervene/mediate in ME affairs, and succeeded! And it concerns literally THE TWO BIGGEST countries (and rivals) in the ME.

Huge congratulations to Wang Yi and China! We had gotten hints of new Saudi-Iran talks but did not imagine something this big. China went straight for the big fish. If the West had attempted this it would have gotten leaked a hundred times. Wang Yi has broken the myth of Chinese diplomatic isolationism. Stunning first debut as an international mediator.
