Adding on:
Pretty huge, so to speak:
1. Normalization of Saudi-Iran relations is a massive stabilizing factor for West Asia.
2. China plays a very important role in achieving this (by serving as a neutral ground between Riyadh and Tehran to reconcile).
I believe there is one more significant impact:
3. Both Saudi Arabia and Iran are currently eyeing for entry into BRICS.

The reconciliation between Riyadh and Tehran can become a crucial stepping stone for the formal expansion of BRICS by bringing both of them into the organization.

Moreover, having two rivaling powers situated just across the gulf joining in the same group can provide a great impetus for other willing countries elsewhere to join BRICS as well, i.e. Argentina, Indonesia, Egypt, Algeria etc - By showcasing that even members with vastly conflicting stances and interests are able to co-exist within this umbrella-style multinational organization.

As the most powerful economic power in BRICS, this move is a massive diplomatic and influential boost for Beijing on the global stage.

This, not starting colored revolutions or coups, is what real power looks like.

Saudi Arabia is also doing this with the aim of putting more pressure on the United States...

More pressure for what? For promises about F-35 in more 10 years after all the the other 1st class vassals get it first before them?

It is for other weapons too, due to Ukraine and China, all the other first class vassals from Europe and East Asia have priority over those Arab states and the Global South.

Saudi Arabia can't get anything out of the US. Maybe some maintainace for weapons system they already have.

Now with this deal with Iran, they don't even need their virtual "protection" anymore.

Do your remember when Mao offered Kissinger 10 million Chinese women? Now is the time to offer every Taiwanese defector a house and a wife. Much smarter than wasting money on a larger military budget.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that formerly both the PRC and ROC attempted to induce defections from the other with promises of rewards, but the practice was ended decades ago by mutual agreement.
