No additional AMRAAMs?

AIM-9X does close the gap with PL-10 pretty well, if they survive the merge that is.

Harpoon is something though. Not that I think highly of subsonic ASM but there's a cruiser on the bottom of Black Sea to prove the point so their threat shouldn't be dismissed.

Otherwise if you're ROC and you see that shopping list would you be impressed?

Relax, guys!

The UK's aircraft carrier has broken down, or is sinking, or something happened, again.

(China is safe as long as the UK are not ready - please be patient)
Wait, wasnt this part of the latest Showcase in CMANO the self proclaimed NATO war sim?

How it can give China a beating in SCS when its proppeller shaft got shafted?

As US is gearing up to attack China, starting with sending weapons to US aligned rebels, it makes sense for China to use force sooner rather than later, to deny Taiwan island to US forces before they can even arrive.

This suspected arms shipment could be an opportune moment to hit the rebel army, a few weeks before it arrives. It'll maybe take a few months or up to a year for Washington to prepare it?

It is clear now that Biden seeks the path of expansionism, even if the Pelosi visit resulted in a temporary setback, US will keep testing Chinese defenses until it is ready to invade. As I see it, America as of now is not capable of invading China simply due to dependencies, especially in semiconductors which will lead to an instant loss for America if it is unable to replenish it's advanced weapons.

Therefore US is seeking a 2 pronged approach to overcome it, they will seek to purchase SK's technology as well as try to steal China's technology through Taiwan. Meanwhile, they'll also make Australia invest into rare earths, to provide the raw resources. Until these 2 projects are finished, US will avoid open war.

But China itself is also not fully prepared, the military has not been well funded for a long time and the Air Force lacks the stealth bombers that provide the promised solution to the long range volume strike problem. If anything, the first move Beijing needs is to increase military funding to American levels and start a roadmap in super sizing the PLA to counter the huge military buildup from America. As an example, US has acquired +450 F35s and 90 DDG equivalents. Keeping the number of navy vessels and stealth fighters low can no longer be justified by China.

Beijing doesnt have to proclaim all of these plans openly, but it needs to invest more into defense.
