This crisis has been an excellent pressure test for AR. You all saw what happened: 160+ countries support One China policy and only G7 gave it some lip service and no one wanted to step up to the plate, not even the US.
This would help CPC in calculating the cost for AR and thus judge accurately when to go for it.
Switzerland is in the center of Europe so they have no excuse to use to explain why they are throwing their neutrality out of the window.
The one and only reason why Switzerland is doing that is because they can't contain their inner imperialist any more. They feel that the white western led "rules based international order" is in danger so they cannot help but lash out.
I think the west, especially the us, is recalibrating as well. this crisis has been instructive, but I wouldn't 100% base future plans on what happened this time
the us is trying to regroup the european countries around their leadership (what the french admiral said a couple of days ago demonstrates this), so yeah, at the moment many countries support the one china policy, but given time, I wouldn't be surprised if that meant jackshit for europe, without any doubt

What legal basis would these western nations have to sanction China? Taiwan is recognised as being part of China under the one China principle of having diplomatic relations with the PRC. Awfully presumptuous of these people, they’re almost begging for punishment.
And Germany and Co. should forget about even token sanctions if they don’t want a repeat of the CAI fiasco.
A lot of the countries that supposedly support the One China policy won’t lift a finger to help China when the time comes. Most are looking for a handout. These relationships are transactional only.
Not sure what help you think China needs or is expecting. Most countries will support China diplomatically and continue trading as if nothing has happened. That will be all that's needed.
