I wonder how long will average americans put up with the economic damage from reckless u.s actions against China, they can barely cope with the inflation from the russian sanctions
While it is dreadful to even think about it, there is alway the AAA (Austrian Artist Approach). It has been proven effective against internal unrest due to inflation. Let’s see the checklist from the AAA starter kit: a malfunctioning democracy (check), an ethnonational enemy (check), inflation (check), a charismatic leader(check?)…

(I’m obviously joking. The chance this will ever happen is very slim but the point is that internal dissatisfaction almost never point towards the culprit, esp when there is a very convenient scapegoat across the pacific )

This fiasco makes everyone involved look like losers, even Pelosi. Only beneficiary of this fiasco is God Emperor Trump who is no doubt spamming Truth Social with "I told you so"s.
Well, China can depending on its next actions push through a lot of useful legislation/moves. I don't think Xi would forfeit such an opportunity.

But probably the biggest winner is just Russia. They can soon expect China to keep plying them with different types of aid packages until all their ambition is realized in Ukraine. And Russia didn't even have to participate in the crisis itself.

Trump would never let something escalate to this level without getting something in return, never. Despite the Democrats insulting Trump as a huge trouble maker they’ve been way more irresponsible with their pointless escalation.
I'm not saying democrats are same as trump. But I'm responding to the China was only aware of a cold war 2.0 against them now and not back during trump or maybe even Obama era. Trade war, tech war was to damage China even though it back fired and cause some damage to US too.
