The subscript beneath the photo says that French members of parliament, members of the Association for Dialogue between France and Russia, met the president of the Duma at the house of the Russian ambassador on September 1. The leader of the association is a member of the political party of the previous French president. And the article ends with the remark that they consider the sanctions stupid.that's something (just found about it on a Polish news-server; ИТАР-ТАСС announced it:
who's been put on the EU sanctions list long time ago, but managed to visit France:
VISITS FRANCE AGAIN ON SEPTEMBER 1:
(see? it's him)
I checked the French wikipedia for spelling(it's Sergueï Narychkine), found at google.fr for example this:
I know the title, Le Monde, that's why I picked this link, but don't know any French, so can somebody please tell me how such a visit is "justified" by the French? delft?![]()
Addendum: Better jaw-jaw than war-war.
Btw the BBC was talking a few minutes ago about considering that you might influence Putin better with sport sanctions than economic sanctions. I suppose it was talking about economists.
Addendum2: The Duma president would have travelled on a diplomatic passport.
