Cassad confirms that both airports are not fully captured yet. Like Kiev is fond of saying "captured 25%" sounds very positive from not capturing at all. Even holding one building makes for sound propaganda.

A very big thank you from me. Can you ask them to verify the report that Ukraine, Holland, Belgium and Australia, signed a non disclosure of their investigation in the crash of MH17 if any signatory vetoes it?

Funny how Malaysia, a really big victim of the crash is not included but the 3 big Putin-personally-shot-down-the-plane are.

All should be reminded that the data from the Air Algier crash was released to the public within a week of recovery.

Why the secrecy and delays now?

Here is the link to that report. But I have read it from other sources too.

This has not been published in The Netherlands. But it would explain the silence better than anything else I can think of.

I wonder what this means for the remains of the forces that were holding out there and the other enclosures south of the City. We have seen that once these trapped units make a run for it, that they can become unpredictable and quite dangerous. It will be good to eventually secure that Southern Flank.

Interestingly the flag burning video (along with the capture of 5 tanks and IFV) was at Starobesheve, a town; which according to the BBC has never been in an area under rebel control!

I do wonder if they will cling to this map fiction and paint Slavyansk as another isolated little Island of territory when it comes to be retaken?

I have mailed my Dutch newspaper and asked them to raise the matter of the MH17 investigation.

It is highly suspicious that there has been complete silence regarding the MH17 since the blackboxes and bodies have been handed over to the respective countries where they are today and had ample time to investigate them. Regardless of who was responsible for shooting it down this secrecy and silence is doing the world a disfavor by not bringing attention to how changes are clearly needed to rules and procedures on having civilian aircraft overfly, by any realistic definition, warzones. And this is apart from disrespect, even disdain, and lack of closure for the passengers, crew, and airline.

Twitter is abuzz with news that Ukraine abandoned ATO in Donbass. Supposedly, Russia threatened them with nuclear weapons. I don't buy that, but if this is excuse to stop senseless slaughter then OK. Let's hope we will have truce soon, and negotiations may last how long does it take .

One of the Ukrainian coast guard vessels on fire, the other one sank after being hit.

... Supposedly, Russia threatened them with nuclear weapons. ...

a dumb question (and frightening): do you have a current list of Russian tactical nuclear weapons? I happen to know about the American W33 (for 8" howitzers) so I checked

but it says "By 2000, Russia reported that nearly all nuclear artillery shells and missile warheads had been destroyed."

I hope someone plans on detonating those stockpile of left over artillery shells and other ammunition before it hits the black market.:(
