Overall, rebels are trying to eliminate one by one major pockets of Ukrainian army. If they succeed, war would probably end shortly (or at least major hostilities) . Winter is coming, gas situation in Ukraine will become critical in few months, and I don't think there will be much will to fight . Ukrainians screwed themselves badly (pardon my language ;)) when they ousted Yanukovich, soon they would realize it.

well i think if given a second chance most ukrainians would rather live with yanukovic than this. poroshenko right now must also be wondering why he wanted this job in the first place.

I'm sure they prefer the present ownership of the govt and country by IMF and US/EU whereby state assets are sold off to western corporations with deep ties to US leaders, economic collapse and massive unemployment, no fuel and heating for winter. And austerity measures for the next 10 years of survival hardship for the individual citizens.

All these are much preferable to the original Russia offer of soft loan of 16 billion for a trade pact. Better a dead Ukrainian than a living Ukraine beholden to Russia. That's the end result of 13 years of state sponsored Russophobia.

Ukraine threw away the chance for a peaceful settlement and an autonomous eastern Ukraine when their newly elected President declared that only a military solution id possible and refuse to negotiate with "terrorists".

Cassad paints a picture of the Kiev govt caught between the never-surrender US boss who owns him and the harsh fact that Kiev cannot win the war without direct NATO intervention. Which would, of course bring in real Russian invasion.

Cassad stated that he'd prefer having the whole Ukraine rather than just the east.

I have mailed my Dutch newspaper and asked them to raise the matter of the MH17 investigation.

From Cassad's latest, seems wire agency AP has embedded journalists with the separatists so it will be impossible for western media to continue to put out their bullshit lies.

Details of fighting near Starobeshevo

About yesterday's fighting in the settlement of Starobeshevo.
"Miner's division" was fighting there. Ukies rolled in from another side of the settlement, got lost, and rammed themselves into an encirclement, Ukies had 14 armored vehicles, 5 of those were tanks, everything else were IFVs, and about 100 infantrymen, you wouldn't believe it, but there were only about 20 of us, but we stood our ground and didn't make a step back! After 2 hours of combat they contacted as and proposed negotiations, the result: we gave them a corridor, they departed and left 5 tanks and 1 IFV for us, another one we burned during combat, the remaining IFVs they used to leave through the corridor. Now these trophy tanks are defending our positions! We have one KIA... may he never be forgotten.
It was exactly this episode of the retreat of the remaining IFVs according to the negotiation with the rebels that was recorded by the photo correspondent of the AP.

I already uploaded the video with 5 trophy tanks.
Actually once again a simple thing was confirmed: the best currency for buying an exit from encirclement are abandoned tanks, howitzers, and "Grads". Otherwise, one has to pay in blood. The remaining encircled troops should note this.

A very big thank you from me. Can you ask them to verify the report that Ukraine, Holland, Belgium and Australia, signed a non disclosure of their investigation in the crash of MH17 if any signatory vetoes it?

Funny how Malaysia, a really big victim of the crash is not included but the 3 big Putin-personally-shot-down-the-plane are.

All should be reminded that the data from the Air Algier crash was released to the public within a week of recovery.

Why the secrecy and delays now?
