Poroshenko proposes that the separatists will have autonomy for the next three years and he is to asks parliaments agreement today.
The foreign affairs commentator of my favorite radio station said this morning that this gives Putin about what he wants and this removes all justifications sanctions against Russia.

From Ron Paul Institute. Love this man whose hands are not in the cookie jars.

Of course you do Dann, its a slam US/NATO piece.

Yes I did read it, and for your information, Mr. Paul has made a grand living/name for Himself, by "conjuring" up conspiracy theory's of various sorts for the paranoid among us, and those who are out in left field politically, hence the "tinfoil" hats. So if you will send $10.00 US to the Ron Paul institute, I am sure they would be happy to send you an official RON PAUL helmet, and a secret decoder ring.

So back on Topic, your source is a US/Ukraine is bad, all Russian separatists/Mr. Putin fans are good and true, it is very jaundiced, which seems to be a popular theme on this thread, and draws lots of "amens". I for one am very happy that there is a cease fire, and while no one may be particularly happy with the outcomes???? well Mr. Putin has gained the territory he really wanted????? everyone else will have to live with the fall-out, and this promises to be a very difficult winter for everyone involved.

A better perspective is authored by outgoing NATO General Secretary Anders Rasmussen, which you should read for a much more honest assessment of real life, not some "shadow world" conjured up for profit????

The interpretation on my favorite, business oriented, radio station is that Putin has won without getting the territory and the cost of repairing the damage done by the fighting.

Baltic's were smart to join NATO when they did.

Russia Sees Need to Protect Russian Speakers in NATO Baltic States
Russia's Foreign Ministry says there are "whole segments of the Russian world" that may require Moscow's protection, and has singled out Baltic states by saying that Russia will not tolerate an "offensive" against its language there.

If this sounds reminiscent of the rhetoric that accompanied Moscow's annexation of Crimea, the Foreign Ministry made no secret of the intended parallel. The ministry's chief monitor of human rights overseas, Konstantin Dolgov, cited the policies of Ukraine's government in Kiev as an example of a rise of "xenophobia" in Europe, according to a transcript of a speech published by the ministry Monday.

More like a case of chicken or egg, action and reaction. One should not ignore the deliberate Russophobia pushed by the Baltic states.
