Trump's 100% tariffs on semiconductors doesn't include component tariffs, so it has little effect on China, since whatever is exported from China to the US has semiconductor chips already pre-assembled. With Trump, the devil is always in the details.

Can someone with more knowledge comment on the Chinese nanoimprint lithography (NIL) tool that is shipped?

As far as a I know, only Canon of Japan has developed a 5nm/2nm capable NIL lithography machine on commercial market. Will Chinese NIL tool enable 5nm/2nm nodes?
But its bad for Nvidia and other desktop chip providers including intel. GPUs will now be 2 times more expensive.

Like Intel doesn't have enough troubles. I don't wish bad to Intel but I have my doubts that this company will survive. Which will be ironic give that the US has been trying to kill Huawei for almost half a decade.

Tan: No senator I am a born Malaysian US citizen.
Tom Cotton: Mr. Tan are you a member of the See See Pee?
Tan: No senator I think you have to be a Chinese citizen and I am...again... a Malaysian Born US citizen.
Tom Cotton:
Tom Cotton: Mr. Tan did you know that Malaysia is close to China?
Tan:
