Semiconductor advanced process electronic special gas production base project landed in Feidong​

On June 19, the Feidong County Government and Shanghai Qiyuan Gas officially signed an investment cooperation agreement for the localization of semiconductor advanced process electronic special gases. Qiyuan Gas Chairman Yu Jun and Feidong County Party Secretary Yao Fei jointly witnessed the signing, and Qiyuan Gas Chief Operating Officer Yang Jian and Feidong County Party Committee Member and Deputy County Mayor Wu Gang jointly signed the agreement.

Shanghai Qiyuan Gas will rely on Korean technical resources and support to build a domestic high-standard semiconductor advanced process electronic special gas production base in the Hefei Circular Economy Demonstration Park in Feidong County, Hefei City. The project covers an area of about 70 acres. After completion and production, it is expected to achieve an annual revenue of no less than 1 billion yuan and an annual tax revenue of no less than 60 million yuan. The implementation of this project will accelerate the localization of international semiconductor advanced process electronic special gas materials. Some products will fill the domestic gap and greatly enhance the local supply capacity of electronic special gases required for domestic semiconductor advanced processes.

Qizhong Technology Hefei R&D Center opened​


According to the news from Hefei Xinzhan District, as a leading enterprise in the field of advanced packaging and testing, Qizhong Technology has always focused on high-end advanced packaging and testing services for integrated circuits. With its outstanding performance in the field of display driver chip packaging and testing, it has not only become the largest display driver chip packaging and testing manufacturer in China and the third largest in the world, but also has made significant progress in the packaging and testing of non-display chips such as power management chips and RF front-end chips. On April 20, 2023, Qizhong Technology was listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, ushering in a new chapter in the development of the company. In January 2024, the Qizhong Advanced Packaging and Testing Production Base project was officially put into production. The current estimated production capacity is 10,000 pieces per month for bump and wafer testing, and about 30 million pieces per month for thin film chip packaging.

According to reports, Qizhong Technology's Hefei R&D Center will introduce the first batch of fully automatic gold electroplating machines and domestic top-level SEM analysis equipment in China, and has the basic conditions for the localization of the entire chain from materials to equipment. In the future, it will accelerate the promotion of gold bump manufacturing for display driver chips, advanced packaging and testing in the back-end, and process innovation and new product development in related intelligent manufacturing fields.

At the scene, Qizhong Technology and the School of Microelectronics of Hefei University of Technology reached a strategic cooperation. The two parties will fully integrate their respective advantageous resources to accelerate the transformation and industrialization of key basic technology innovations and cutting-edge leading technology innovation results. In addition, the two parties will also strive to build a new generation of electronic information technology talent training, scientific research and industry-university-research-application integrated base through various models such as industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation.
