10kt with 2x CIWS is pretty standard. Sejong and Atago both have 2x CIWS. The special case here is the Zumwalt with no CIWS.

These are decoy and chaff launchers. The PLAN have them on every ship basically.

It is possible to install laser jammers and electromagnetic jammers in 055. In the future, 055A will also install electromagnetic rail guns and laser near-anti-aircraft guns.

The CIWS missiles (HQ-10, RAM), in my opinion, is a better pick over CIWS guns. Tico class has two 20mm Phalanx, as most Burkes. Some Burkes have one Phalanx removed, or replaced with RAM or SeaRAM.

Closest match in displacement and CIWS configuration to the Type 055 is the Sejong The Great class destroyer. It has one 30mm Goalkeeper and a RAM launcher. Mk. 49 launcher has 21 missiles. The HQ-10 launcher on the Type 055 has 24. Goalkeeper is 7 barrels and 4200 rounds/min. Type 1130 has 11 barrels and 10,000 rounds/min. Plus in my opinion, 30mm gun CIWS is also better than 20mm.

In addition, the ship also has plenty of chaff and decoys, and ECM that is nothing like we have ever seen in a PLAN ship before and could be a whole generation ahead of previous PLAN ECM suites.
