Looking at the r/volunteersforukraine and it looks like it's not even 3 year contract but 'until martial law ends' ie those poor idiots signing up are signing up indefinitely, being paid in currency that is worth shit outside of ukraine.

And for those hoping to finally score some hot slavic blondes, they're nowhere in ukraine, they've all gone to russia or poland to escape the fighting leaving you with babushkas of questionable military usefulness. There is going to massive loads of desertion from volunteers who arne't NATO plants.

EDIT: for perspective, Blackwater was hiring mercs at about 120k per annum 2003 level and those 'mercs' tended to not even have any battle experience nor Specops training. Rather than ex-SAS or SEALs, you were getting unemployed Idaho boys in the years before fentanyl kills them.

AD: You’ve got a wide selection of Slavic Bombshells to pick from.

There are evidence emerging that DPR forces may have destroyed Ukrainian 53rd Mechanized Brigade in its entirety around Volnovakha. We are now seeing photos and videos of captured documents from Brigade HQ as well as tanks from this unit abandoned and captured intact. If true this would be the first brigade size unit entirely destroyed during this war.

This video does a good job explaining it, it's in Chinese though

Yeah, there are going to be a lot of Darwin awards being given out this year.

Ukrainian ultras were already making genocidal statements against Chechens before they even entered combat. I don't think the Ukrainians would treat Chechens well from the start.
Yeah, thats what I was thinking.

Chechens have a much bigger impact on this war then their deployment numbers. Both sides media reports talk about them. On the Russian side they are a big boost for the Russian groups who fight along them, and Ukrainians have been fleeing positions when they hear the Chechens are coming.

The PLA should have Uyghur battalions on similar lines.

Why? why not keep it or beach it and try to use the SAM/Radar and the 100mm gun?

I believe the ship got damaged by the early Russian attack and sank today.
Ukrainians claiming they drowned it so that Russians don't get their hands on them, and the Twitter dude claiming it was damaged by friendly fire is shaky.
So one finally got a chance to post the status of the ship today and found out there is nothing worth using on the half drowned damaged ship.

Americans are sending in SpecOps in ukrainian 'foreign legion' livery; effectively, they are sending in Sardaukar in Harkonnen livery.

Also it's clear from the COVID-19 debacle that the West doesn't give a damn about the lives nor livelihoods of its own citizens so sending its own people into the meat grinder of ukraine is par for the course.

Regarding ceasefires, if we observe the lessons of Syria, NATO- aligned assets tend to use ceasefires to move reinforcements into position; when you have the initiative you ought to attack and destroy the enemy in totality.
I hope Russians capture a few of these guys and parade them on live camera if true.

There is no lack of effort. If there are only 3 parties - EU, Russia, and Ukraine - in this, then it might have actually happened. But there is a 4th power, US. And this power is more influential than the other 3. This video explains it.

1) No Russian minority to speak of resided in Finland.
2) Ukraine wasn't offered a similar deal for whatever reason.

I agree it would have been the better solution.

Wont work. The Chechens have a certain reputation that gives allies a morale boost and enemies fear. Forming some random battalion won’t have an effect. It’s just another unit on a paper unlike the Chechens whose past/current actions in history gave them that reputation.
