Where Germany goes the rest of EU follows.

That's a combine 18 Trillion USD GDP economy (the same as China) rearming after three decades of military neglect and fully in the US camp now thanks to Putin.

Somewhere Xi Jinping must be banging his head against the wall screaming something along the lines of "with friends like this, who needs enemies"
US will be the first one to shoot it down, or at least manipulate it in a way so that it gets the authority to command a combined EU army akin to South Korea/Japan. I'm sure I don't need to convince anyone about the paranoid desire in US NatSec establishment for total security.

"In particular, we will impose export controls on items that can be used directly as weapons in Ukraine to inflict harm or to subjugate the Ukrainians," he said.
"We will also block certain Russian banks and financial transactions connected to Russia," he added.
Balakrishnan said specific measures were being worked out and would be announced shortly.
Singapore's move is the first among its regional neighbours and comes independent of the Association of 10-member Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) of which it is a member.
First UK and now Singapore, two of three largest offshore RMB clearing centers are now in effect hobbled by sanction compliance issues if China wants to aid Russia. All eyes will be on HK next.

In my opinion China should go all out supporting russia in this war except actual military commitment. Besides its direct effect on russia, it sends a clear message to west that their influence can be directly challenged first time since fall of ussr. That will make them think twice before salami slicing. Like what Mao has said "throwing out one punch to avoid 100 punch coming in." This is like korean war. This has serious remification across the globe. Should Russia win it could buy china more time to develop.

Who buys? Somehow, I dont think this actually involves a firesale. Maybe just a writedown of the assets?
Says right there on the 2nd bullet point
Rosneft accounts for around half of BP's oil and gas reserves and a third of its production and divesting the 19.75% stake will result in charges of up to $25 billion, the British company said, without saying how it plans to extricate itself.

Stock going to plunge.

EU countries will provide Ukraine with 'fighter jets' under Brussels funding, says @JosepBorrellF

I’d say that this is rather escalative!

Is this just posturing? Does EU have tons of SU-27 and Mig-29 jets to provide to UAF? Or will Ukrainian pilots magically learn to operate an F-35 in the next week to stave off a collapse in Kiev? Almost as useless as Putin's random ICBM deployment, but not quite.
