To me a good fight can either outside or inside. I don't think of myself as a moral police. And as you have seen in my past post I accept sacrificing the moral principle by not criticizing Russian invasion to protect China's national security threatened by western encroachment. But as a Chinese with a burden of one hundred years of humiliation, how would we feel if we hear Americans say they can 'take care of these Chinese women refugees' during Japanese invasion of China.

agree. But it does negatively impact mainlanders' imagine. If Hongkongers do that on the mainland, the reaction will be the same.

It's sad and frustrating to see it happen, and so widely. But truth is, in the end, they hurt themselves more than the mainlanders. I have seen so many Hongkong youth refuse to try the greater bay area, which has so many more opportunities. But the one that are more understanding, open minded will be able to take advantage of that. It's karma.

So you see. No one is a saint. What you and some media and some social media are doing are to exaggerate a trivial thing and to make a big deal out of nothing and to demonize all Chinese for bad behavior when everyone perfectly knew that it is only bad behavior of a few people and when everyone knew that other countries people can behave even worse.

And Americans also condemned Elieen Gu as a traitor. Twitter and Reddit posts went rampage about her. All American media attack her and using the most hateful words toward her. Did Chinese media attack Nathan Chen, rarely. So you want to make a big fuss about a poster here called Nathan Chen a traitor that has a few likes. I do see you have the tendency to be extremely critical of China and Chinese.

I am sorry for Gu. But bashing of Gu in the US is great for China. They just made a half Chinese person much more Chinese. If I am American I would ask my fellow Americans to be generous and graceful and be proud of this Californian who is building a bridge between the two countries, which is GOOD for the US. You see my line of thinking? I care about China and Chinese people. That's why I bother to point it out (with very strong language in this case) to help improve. Why do you think I bother to spend hours of my life to write these posts and risking using up the rapport and camaraderie that I have built with other members of the forum? This doesn't make me a better Chinese and it doesn't make me feel better about myself.

I personally will not bother with small things. There are plenty of racism towards whites and Indians. But as I explained above, these remarks are out of line.

LOL US has deviated far from this. Which year is this? 1811? At this point, US is screwing over everyone and everything it seems a challenge to its paranoid sense of security.
