If the Russians believed in such brotherly love then don't start full scale invasion in the first place. Defend "brothers" in Donbass but don't take the friggin capital, or attempt to.
Well, the European have been fighting these brotherly wars for centuries. The last example was German occupation of France and it's army's conduct versus what they did to the Ukrainian, and the Russians.

....it should be a gloves off no bars held all out assault. Instead he is doing a middle of the road attack....

Why can't it be a methodical assault, with destruction in detail, while avoiding collateral damage? And what's so wrong with the pace of operations so far?

The forward progress seems fine. It's not "slow." I don't know why people are expecting magic ("magic" costs a lot of logistics resources.) Also, keep in mind, most of the advances of the Russian forces take place during the night. They seem to consolidate during the day and advance at night. So let's see what happens on Night 3.

What happened after the German occupation of France? How did it turn out? What is the legacy of the leader who okayed that decision? Is this what Putin wants for his legacy?
