The Ukrainian line is dug in now and retreat isn't an option. If they pull back they'll be wiped out by artillery and the Russian air force. Or at least you'd expect them to.

I don't think all Ukrainian soldiers have a death wish, it's mainly the Nazi battalions. I do think there is a death cult mentality among a lot of Ukrainians, they remind me a lot of Falun Gong followers.

Why do you care? Do you think telling us all why China shouldn't help Russia is going to change CCP policy?

How many Ukrainians have you ever personally known? 'A lot', as you wrote?
The sweeping condescension of some arrogant (apparently) Chinese writers here seems beyond description.
Is it time for an updated edition of Bo Yang's _The Ugly Chinaman_?

Contrary to what some Chinese acolytes here of Russian imperialism may prefer, China has not yet offered to send
PLA units to help Russia conquer Ukraine.

Another cargo vessel has been targeted and struck in the Black Sea by alleged Russian anti-ship missile systems while in port; The Dominican flagged vessel “Azburg” has sustained one casualty as a direct result of fires in the main engine room from the alleged missile attack.

The Azburg is owned by MSCo Global of Malta and is one of many vessels to have been attacked by anti-ship missiles since the beginning of the conflict.

An estimated eighty six merchant vessels remained stuck in Ukrainian ports as of today.

I just checked out the video that caused this ruckus. From the looks of it, I’d say the cause is mostly bad terrain. According to @anzha , it can get extremely muddy in Ukraine, so armored vehicles can easily get stuck.

I have been summoned.

Raputitsa or General Mud is the cause. This happens almost every year. Its a consequence of the very deep, organic dirt in a fairly wet climate. It makes for great farm land. It also makes for muck that is deep and thick. People can lose shoes to it even. Driving a truck or tank through it seems...less than brilliant. Putin had to know about the muck. I don't get why he'd not wait for May to launch this war. General Mud retires from the field around then.

As for this video. The artillery is nicely fired, yes, but the lack of maneuvering by the vehicles is weird. If I were in one, I'd have panicked and hit the gas at least. These AFVs appear to be on the road to me. Perhaps they were out of gas, but still had troops waiting for a resupply?

I don't think this is target practice, but this video is still odd.

Why do you need to know Ukrainians personally? Their behaviour in this war is enough.

There's no situation where it would be appropriate send PLA units into the Ukraine.. Ukraine is not an enemy of China.
All 10 to 13 armour unites frozen in fear? No movement at all, and the video is an edited version. If that's the case, then props to Russia for not collapsing already and keeping Ukraine from invading the border.
The drone recording that looked like an observational drone rather than a targeting one. Note how you don't actually see any impacts. I think they were abandoned tanks that were destroyed. Hence the soldiers running away. You'd never hear an artillery round coming if you were in a tank.

The thing Ukraine should fear from China is lawyers. From what I've seen from this conflict and experienced irl, I think Chinese lawyers are probably scarier than the Russian army so far. I mean, that Motor Sich deal...billions of dollars.

That's over the top, but some humor is needed. I laugh lest I cry.

Again, my point is that many countries have criticized China for its policies in Xinjiang.
There's no reason that I know to single out Ukraine as exceptionally objectionable.

who are "many countries" you are talking about ? ... none countries really apart from American's vasals.

Look, none of Islamic countries criticise China of Xinjiang, none in Africa, South America, most of Asia (except Japan and Taiwan perhaps)

Another distortion of context.

I never claimed that most countries in the world have criticized China about its policies in Xinjiang.
The governments and peoples of most countries could not care less about the Uyghurs.

My point was simply that *many countries besides Ukraine* have criticized China's policies in Ukraine.
So there's no reason for China to single out Ukraine as particularly objectionable on that issue.
