A war of attrition, ultimately comes down to who has the greatest will to win, who is willing to sacrifice the most. Do you feel that is Ukraine or Russia?
Yep Ukraine have the will to lose all the east and south for protecting their white supremacist ideal, it have the will to indebt itself to all his greedy ''ally'' for centuries to come while destroying his infrastructures and nullifying is military might.

Russia have the will to spend is generation of tank that the Armata will replace losing 5% of his soldiers. It will sacrifice EU and US relation to free itself from the west to forge stronger alliances with the east.

Not sure if willing to sacrificing more is that good...

You cannot grab a guy off the street, check that he has all ten fingers, hand him an AK47 and expect him to fight in the same way a seasoned fighter that is trained and battle hardened. If, after seeing a couple of his buddies getting one in the head, he started running away, most will follow. Even if he stay and fight, can he even aim straight?
Warm bodies are always desirable in a defensive war for survival.

Even if its in a ratio of 1 trained soldier = 10-15 untrained random guys from the street, you can still drown the enemy with enough numbers.

Ofc then we have other concerns such as morale, increased logistic strain, but that's another story. Ideally you would want them dispersed in cities so that you can somewhat ease the logistic load.

Ukraine's "white supremacist" ideal is to not be part of Russia (also a majority white country, if you hadn't noticed).

Agreed, but in the way Russia is fighting this war, this strength could be mitigated. Russia will be fighting the cities one at a time while they are negotiating. Currently, the entire Eastern region will be depleted of many resources. Once they surround a new city, you are basically fighting people inside the city with dwindling resources. If the Russians are smart and allow the Ukraine army the option to escape, many will choose it when facing overwhelming odds against the Russians. Only the fanatical will stay and fight till the bitter end. These fanatical ones are being killed off in Eastern Ukraine as we speak.

Yep cities are irrelevant if the ground and open area are taken to the Dnieper... they still are urban fortress and the siege need troops to control what can go out of these cities but supply will vanish, visible troops and vehicules will be slowly destroyed. After a while, cities will just throw the sponge. Mariupol was important due to sea access and it was one of the main objectives to get rid of the AZOV freaks. I don't thing we will see that kind of warfare for a week or two at least.
