This is wishful thinking. You can bet that if India cannot get Russian equipment, they will turn to the West.
India aren't getting Russian equipment, they abandoned the PAK FGFA, and going to an indigenous AMCA option. There is no signs US has offered F-35's to India given the CAATSA violation with Indian import of S-400s which can detect F-35 signatures (Same situation with Turkey). Indian refusal to condemn Russian invasion only further divides the QUAD. They aren't even seeking off the shelf Su-57Es.

So the reality is India isn't forced to choose between Russian equipment (canceled joint FGFA project) or American equipment (isn't even offered F-35s due to CAATSA violation with S-400), but has a third option which is indigenous innovation. So don't push some false dichotomy arguments to justify Russia selling top arms to China's enemies while being in US-UK 'special relationship' style alliance.

Other reports claim he chickened out at the last minute upon arrival....in anycase, there's no going home for old Ken, maybe he can consider defecting to North Korea?

reported on March 17 that "The Ministry of Justice has issued a 'notification upon entry' regarding former Captain Ken Rhee." 'Measures to be notified upon entry' means to notify investigative agencies of the fact of entry when a person enters the country.

Accordingly, when former captain Ken Rhee enters Korea, the police will immediately be notified of Ken Rhee's arrival. According to the results of the investigation, the police are considering the possibility of arresting Lee immediately after entering the country.

Additionally, it was revealed that the police are investigating whether there are prior crimes committed by Ken Rhee other than the violations of the passport law.

Earlier, on March 6, Ken Rhee left the country and headed to Ukraine without special permission from the Korean government to participate in the Ukraine Volunteer Army. Thereafter, he posted on his social media that he had arrived in Ukraine with the team members he had personally selected.

However, on March 15, Ken Rhee revealed that he had sent back his team members and is currently fighting alone. Currently, Ken Rhee's team members who have returned to South Korea will be questioned by the police as soon as their self-quarantine period is over.

Meanwhile, on March 11, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported Ken Rhee to the National Police Agency on charges of violating the passport law and initiated administrative sanctions procedures such as invalidating his passport.

Rumours on twitter that this was the video that got the second mercenary base hit:

There's been no confirmation from western sources or evidence from the Russians.

Whatever happened it's clear that the subreddit is now being managed as a CIA operation. Every few days someone with experience and a brain cell shows up and tells everyone that it's a stupid idea to go fight in Ukraine even if you have experience in Iraq/Afghanistan. They get deleted and downvoted while more people post encouraging each other to go to Ukraine. 90% of people seem to think they will be able to be medics when they go, apparently armies are 90% medics who watch while the 10% fight it out. Ukraine has conscripted all doctors in their country, I doubt they need any medics. The fact that western European countries made it illegal to travel to Ukraine to fight doesn't seem to have stemmed the numbers going there, and I don't think America has tried stopping anyone at all.

Putin could end this war tomorrow if he started dropping FOABs on west Ukrainian cities until Zelensky surrenders. Everyone knows that. But it seems he wants it to drag on. Whatever it costs to maintain the current position for Russia is going to be much less compared to the amount NATO is pumping into Ukraine to keep it floating, let alone the damage being done to the European economy from the sanctions.

Somehow NATO have turned this conflict between two countries into a Vietnam for themselves. Maybe China should just keep things as they are for a few months, or even a year? As long as China doesn't join in directly I doubt it'll make relations much worse. Soon America/Europe will start begging China for help again. If they start threatening China as they are trying to do now then put pressure on Taiwan.

Since when American's promises worth anything?

Doesn't matter as long as Russkies sell the same system to China for study

American promises to not do anything for you often much more reliable than their promises to do something for you.

But ultimately, that is an artifact of the particular bias embedded in the opportunistic and cynical way with which American chooses to make promises, not an artifact of how American decides whether to actually do something or not. If you turn off the noise of what America shouts and would have you hear, then you would see that while american assessment of the situation is not always insightful, then actions are usually coldly logical in light of the assessment. In addition, while there are often a lot of noise, the way American tradition with discourse works is such assessments are usually available to all to see, if you know where to look.

If Russia gets to have Veto in return. Then more than likely it's possible. Also India is as vital to Russia as it is to China. i suspect. flirting has be gone from all sides. Especially the batshit action EU and Merica just pulled.

Until the sanctions imposed in this round, Chinese participation in the Su57 project actually greatly reduces its export potential, not increase it. So the Russians would only be interested in Chinese participation if China in effect largely subsidizes the program. Why would China subsidize a program to build a completely foreign equivalent of the J-20?

Hmmmmm……

America is punishing the capitalist winners of the fall of communism. So even when America’s ideological position appeared sincere, following her lead still gets your asset seized by the self same champion of property rights and free enterprise, as if she were following the lead of communist totalitarians.

I mean they are both of the same cloth, greedy vampires and in this case the american ones don't mind sucking and stealing whatever they can from former soviet vampires.
