Well hindsight is 20/20. But its a bit hard for me to accept that the Russians got so much wrong? Were they Really that incompetent? Definitely attacking in 2014 would have been a better bet but there must have been more reasons or info for them to attack now. If this War doesn’t work out for Putin then united Russia is done at the next election.

i still feel Russia is winning the war. I don’t know if they really expected the rest of Ukraine to fold like Crimea. there is so much we don’t know at this point.
Strelkov is probably a knowledgeable source since he led DPR/LPR forces in 2014. The most common justification for not attacking in 2014 has been the weaker economy. There was no domestic payment system or swift analogue back then, which would’ve made war impossible.

The terrain at Western Ukraine (which is forest) is suitable for Partisan and guerilla fighting, it was even used by the Soviet Partisans against Germany back in World War 2.

SAR and FLIR ought to help here to a degree. Originally, Banderits tried to wage a Partisan warfare after WWII using those forests. But for the most part they ended up sitting there doing buttfuck all for 10 years. Not to say this wlll happen same way if it reaches that point. But i would not be surprised if it will.

The look on FoxBusiness host's face when Colonel Macgregor called Zelensky a puppet putting huge numbers of his population at risk:

The guy is certainly over the top in his media appearances. I am yet to find any criticism on his side of Russia's performance in the war, other than being too gentle on Ukraine and not using its full capability. Kind of in agreement with some people on this forum, no?

Yet, he has produced influential ideas for the modernization of US armed forces. One of his books is recommended reading for high-level officers in Israeli Defense Forces.

He gained quite a bit of notoriety for his Islamophobic outbursts and calls for martial law on the US-Mexican border. Also, some badly worded critiques of German war crime repentance:

Almost everything he said in the interview is simply truth. They are not "opinions".

if they sent their Western Equipment it would take Ukrainians weeks or even months to operate such machinery because of the disparity between Soviet/Russian equipment to Western equipment, so the most effective method is to use their old Warsaw Pact stock in their storage, they don't have time to check those equipment anymore cause of Ukrainian desperation.
Thing is, if whatever ou send ends up being more dangerous to ukr troops than the russians, you might as well send nothing.

On the saga of the heroic Ukranian farmer's brigade I new development!!
I don't know if this is tru but I would love it to be
People don't realize that the first Farmer tractor pulling a Russian tank or vehicle had a Z painted on it. It was a Russian pulling their own vehicle. That tractor was chased down by some Ukrainians and then those idiots failed to lob a Molotov at it in that infamous video.
