Just watched this through and it seems fine for posting
Also from the Saker, this is a 50 minute documentary about the fighting at the Airport between the 16th - 18th Jan and is has English subtitles.
Plenty of combat footage from the final capture of the airport.
Nothing seriously graphic, some language but much of it beeped out.

Yes I saw this. Lots of grenades thrown down holes. Surprisingly the scale of fighting is very small scale with small squad action and support of 1 tank!! But the militia sure have lots of grenades and their machinegunner got shot while firing at Kiev. A bit comical.

That's nothing new. The US rewards many of it's allies with it's own military service medals since WWII.

First, Yes the US provides support to the Kiev Junta but Ukraine and US are not treaty allies. Second, from the interview at 1:00, The medal is for an injury incurred from an operaion at Debaltseve, not a US or NATO operation. Third, unless sanctioned by a civilian authority, is the "US Army" allowed to play politics by officially taking sides on a active conflict without defense treaty ?

you posed some very good questions there actually. anyone bored enough with their lives to actually do some research on this?

it is quite peculiar that at this point ukrainian media is mostly fixated on mariupol but are saying very little about debaltseve, where a real crisis is unfolding. my theory is that kiev is losing control of its armed forces to oligarchs, each of whom are funding his own private army. and to them mariupol is worth more than debaltseve.

Pretty bold statement from Novorussia but I'm not buying that.

The village Peski is ours. Armoured Forces of Ukraine are trying to counterattack, with no success.
In regard to the preliminary information, our fighters took 37th checkpoint! 28th checkpoint being stormed and the village Orehovo also.
Bahmutovskiy front stops its existing and it is turning to Lisichanskiy! UAF are running in panic from Yasinovataya. Where they stay, they will be in traps.

Well the big headline of the BBC yesterday was this

Quote[Speaking after an emergency meeting of Ukraine's security council, Mr Poroshenko said that a peace deal signed in September in Minsk was the only solution to the conflict.]

Considering his earlier bullishness, not a very confident statement regarding the readiness of the Pro Kiev forces.

The biggest trouble I see is that if the High Command keep shouting "Russian Wolf" every time something goes South, the rank and file will believe you. When the rank and file are 20 year old kids with only a few weeks basic training, its bad enough knowing that there a are bunch of grizzled miners and steel workers with prior military experience on the other side; let alone the prospect of Russian (Elite) Regulars behind them.

This form of propaganda is not great when only your troops believe it.

And this kind of videos which I'm sure those Ukrainian youngsters watch doesn't make them eager to "kick some Russian asses" out of their country? What do you think?
