Type 95 Assault Rifle II

Re: Type 95 assault rifle

I think they definitely need a handle for both the specops and normal infantry. I fired type-95 in person when in the summer, I dont know about you guys, but if you are a big bigger and taller than a average chinese soldier; it is really hard to aim and shoot at a long distance target with 95, its very uncomfortable and it just feel weird.... plus even the spec ops uses 03 now. eject-selectable is definitely out of the picture atm... not even all the GAs have type-95 for all of their infantry... no $$$

Sounds like trying to take advantage of the average man size in order to help with the defense of China, by preventing invaders from using the gun. :D

Rear heavy? The gun has a forward handle already but it needs to be redesigned. Eject selectable would make it a new gun.

well basically from what you described a rifle version of the QBU8 DMS would cover those, a short rail for optics with flip up front post and rear sight, with side realoading.

well Since I can't seem too find any thing on the QBu8 I can't comment on it. although Reloading too the side is about as popular as top loading, Out moted and forgoten save fore a few odd ball guns.
Incidentally the Kriss is the operating system of a SMG ( the TDI VECTOR) not a Rifle, currently I have heard nothing of making a Rifle utilizing the KRISS SUPER V system although that is not too say that such a system is not possible,

I saw these images floating around the internet and obvious it came from some movie or something. To my surprise I just found out seeing it myself. If there are science fiction fans out there you might be able to guess where this came from. Just look at the guy and what type of character he "looks" like.

You're heading in the right direction. It's was Stargate Atlantis. That guy is a Wraith disguised as a human. He did fire the Type 95/97 variant like that. So unless it was a fake, he was in control of it pretty well. Don't know if Hollywood got their hands on some 97s, but this show is filmed in Canada and if you've seen those YouTube videos, Canada got a hold on some.

I thought they only got hold of some semi-automatics versions, no?
Imagine the disappointment to action fans when the guy could only fire single rounds.

Re: Type 95 assault rifle

I think an expert can easily convert them. Did you see the episode? If I recall correctly it was automatic fire.

I don't know how it works in Canada but I believe they have strict gun laws. Unless they're big hypocrites. I'm always seeing Canadians critcizing the US's gun culture. But on that Youtube video, that guy said something about acquiring more. So if anyone seen that youtube video, maybe they can shed light if this guy was working on some official capacity that he's able to import Chinese assault rifles and if so... fully automatic ones?

The Type 97 converted to semi-automatic with a five round magazine is legal in Canada. You need a VERY VERY VERY special license to obtain them so as far as I know all Type 97s are semi-automatic. They retail at

for $850 Canadian. The Type 97 is actually pretty popular so far, the first batch sold out and I believe the second imported batch's preorders have also sold out. NORINCO has a good reputation in Canada thanks to its 1911 copies, SKS' and M14S rifles which are both very affordable and of very good quality. The guy firing the Type 97 is the store owner I think. I think the Type 97 used in the move is just an airsoft model, it would be cheaper IMO.
