Its possible that they might use the middle of the deck for recovery.
Blue: for launching aircraft
Red: for landing and recovery
Yellow: for island and parking aircraft/helicopter

What happens when a large UAV had to land (say, due to sudden mechanical issue) but missed the wires and had to go around on the red track, while another large UAV is being launched on the blue line?

So this is from you?
Well the Weibo accounts posting this photo publicly are not me, but I was lucky enough to have flown past the shipyard yesterday and took a few photos with my phone, and apparently they circulated pretty fast

I honestly don’t think it’s a super big issue though as a lot of planes do have their landing course directly over the shipyard and as such it’s only natural that people will see what’s happening with the ships being built

so are they going to continue building the 075s in parallel with the 076s? or just 076s from now on. either way, Jesus Christ Chinese military development is moving at lightning speed across ALL domains. A few years ago the Pentagon report characterized it as "relentless." Relentless indeed. The perfect word to describe it.

Without an angled deck for recovery, I don’t see how that’s possible.
I don't see the point of giving it full length catapult then. If they wanted it to launch heavy UCAV like GJ-11/Okhotnik/X-47B that as heavy as manned aircraft might as well give it the ability to launch manned aircraft.
This ship sure is confusing. It’s very likely whatever they intend to launch is in a lighter weight class.

Why bother with an angled deck when the 076 is still very much an LHD in the first place (except with certain amount of additional aviation facilities)?

In fact, the number of fixed-wing aircrafts (both manned and unmanned) that will be fielded onboard the 076 LHD are much smaller than the number you typically see on proper CVs, apart from the fact whereby fixed-wing aircrafts will often occupy smaller portions of the entire airwing on the LHD (fixed-wing ≈ rotary if not fixed-wing < rotary) when compared to airwings onboard proper CVs (fixed-wing >>> rotary) anyway.

These two factors will result in a significantly lower rates of CATO and BAR operations for LHDs than proper CVs, which means an angled deck is not really a must-have for the 076.

This applies the same, even if/when the 076 LHD is to perform in the "lightning carrier" role similar to the America LHAs.
