It may be a standardized weapon and there may have been land based tests, but after building a ship and launching it, you would still think there be a shakedown and actual test from the ship itself? Or how about pics of exercises?

There is likely to be a test of some sort, but not every thing gets shown in the forums. The internet is still hardly omnipotent.

One 022 sank!

The guy who took the picture said he saw the boat from his window on 4/1. The boat was towed away in 4/2 night. It happened in Shanghai.

Looks real enough. But the picture is taken at such a distance it's really hard to tell 100% for certian. It seems I may be seeing a bunch of folks standing around the pier.

Anyone have any proof that this pic is real??

The ship looks under construction. If it's real, how can a new ship sink in such a quiet water? So, it looks PSed to me.

Probably similar to what happened here:

irginia city's brand new Canadian-made fire boat sinks before maiden voyage

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (AP) - The city's $385,000, Canadian-built state-of-the-art fire boat sank Wednesday, still tied up at a dock and without ever being put to use.

The boat, moored at a marina by the James River Bridge, was discovered with its stern sitting on the river bottom and the bow sticking out of the water. Investigators said the didn't know the cause of the sinking.

The fire department had not even taken ownership of the 10-metre-long boat because it was waiting for the manufacturer, MetalCraft Marine of Canada, to finish installing electronic equipment, department spokeswoman Dana Perry said.

Perry said the department has two other boats that can be used to fight fires on the water, but they don't have the capabilities or technology of the new vessel.

Probably someone screwed up, and forgot to close a valve...
