So Turkish parliament ratified Swedens entry into NATO. Now we wait and see what Turkiye got out of it.
There are rumors pertaining a combined deal of F-16's and F110 engines for the Kaan.
And the F-16 variant on offer might be one that we haven't heard or seen before and too good to be rejected.
Time will tell
Haven't you been around in the last 30+ years? German governments' animosity against Turkey is illogical and knows no bounds. They wouldn't have blocked it in the first place or have intentionally slowed down subcomponent deliveries for the Reis class OR blocked the engine sale for the Altay tank or Firtina SPH.In fact after this was finally ratified - but let us wait for president Erdogan's signature - and after Germany agreed on the Eurofighter sale to SA, I see no reason anymore to block a similar sale to Turkey too.

Oh, and they wouldn't have prohibited Turkey's use of second- hand Leo 2A4s and ancient, ex-DDR BTRs. This didn't happen today, it happened a long time ago. It was irrational to deny a NATO-ally's use of arms back then, and it still is today.
The point of my reply is, it is not a new development, it has been happening long before Erdogan even came to power. European states just perceive this (non-existent) threat from Turkey, fearing an another rise of Turkish and Muslim influence in the region. That does not mean I agree - quite to the contrary - to what happens in Turkey and how Erdogan governs his country but our country has fallen dramatically in almost every aspects.

That's big money ! It will be interesting to see what is offered in it.The Biden administration sent a letter to the US Congress calling for the approval of the $50 billion F-16 aircraft sale to Turkey.
Details coming...
