Holy fuck, they've started talking very recently about the embargoes and we have every reason to believe this war will speed things up for the better. Are you really this dense?

Forget about VLS and ESSM. The most urgent needs for Turkiye are the F-35's and engines for the Altay. The rest is not needed anymore as Turkiye has its own equivalents by now or very soon.
If they are embargoing the Russians right now, if they are that much out of their way, then what are the chances of them doing the same to Turkey even when only a small disagreement happens, i.e., when Greece provokes them and they try to "tame" Turkey, a country with much less cards on it's hand than Russia? @siegecrossbow

Wake up dude. @sequ

I'm not in the mood to try and change a typical Black-and-White thinker into a Grey thinker. Have it your way @CasualObserver.

Luckily I've never encountered a Turk IRL that has the same angsty opinions like you have. It seems Turks like you have only the internet to congregate because you've lost the street. Understandable because your type is not street smart.

Don't take this as an insult but as a true fact.

Dude, it’s Marco Rubio, he is basically a reversed AOC, not even close to the center of power(at least by now) ,would you feel optimistic if it’s posted by AOC?

He just wants to be out of touch and reality bro, don't interrupt him.

Yes, out of touch and reality.

Meanwhile the deputy secretary of state W. Sherman:

"As for the S-400, F-16, F-35 issues, my understanding is as follows, technical negotiations continue on the F-16. We know the S-400s are a bit of a long-term issue. Maybe it's time to solve this problem, to look for a different way. At this point we will look at what can be done. It all depends on the circumstances. We are meeting with our colleagues. Of course, you have laws and laws and so do we. We have to say that nothing is impossible. Putin needs to end this premeditated unjust and unlawful war as soon as possible. "

"We have full faith in Turkey. It will apply Montreux appropriately. Turkey has been very transparent in the decision-making processes. Nobody wants to see the Straits become a part of such a war. We have full confidence in Turkey."

Keep interrupting me because I love proving people wrong.

So, is Turkey getting F-35s any time soon? My understanding was that Turkey would need both the F-35A for her Air Force as well as F-35B for her navy (on the new LHD).
