Its actually impressive for trump that since he came to power there hasn't been anymore Palestinian protests and shutdowns at US universities. Seems all the Palestinian protesters(especially those immigrant background on student visa and temporary green cards) have gone silent. Trump seems to have instilled a fear in them with his policies. Meanwhile under the Democrats(which most of them hated and voted against) they were basically free to do any sort of protests and even shutdown universities without too much fear of repercussions. "Democratic Authoritarianism" does work. All this nonsense about "muh unfettered free speech" is pure nonsense! America and the West are just the dominant powers of the moment—and have been for the past 500 years. The rights championed and pushed onto so-called "dictatorial countries" and "autocratic states" were born out of strategic economic necessities. For example, women's suffrage gained traction largely due to WWI, during which most European men were sent to their slaughter. The same can be said about the American Civil War and the civil rights movements that granted Black Americans full citizenship—a shift driven in part by the Soviet Union's soft-power critiques of U.S. hypocrisy, which exposed a democracy proselytizing abroad while relegating its own citizens to inequality.
Furthermore, look at the post Civil War period up until just before World War II / post World War II. America was a segregated racialist ruthlessly capitalistic society. Civil Rights? Nope! Workers Rights? Nope! Environmental Regulation? Nope! Financial Regulation? Nope!
The reality is the period of ruthless exploitation is what led to America becoming a dominant industrial and military power.

It consist in simply antagonism of their giant neighbor. The baltics have never tried to have good relation with Russia due to their soreness for Russia power. In their mind they are superior to Russia, still Russia is the power.
Compare that with for example Andorra, this little country sandwiched between Spain and France, whose great solution is that the Head of State is 6 months one bissop of Spain and 6 months the president of the French republic.
Doing that they have managed be an independent country and prosper during centuries.
Now take into consideration that Andorra is in the mountains and in a far better defensive position if they would want it.
Baltics would be smashed by Russia in days. And they consistently provoke Russia into destroy them.

As annoying as the Baltics are I don't blame them for their feelings towards Russia. They were occupied by the Russians and suffered under that occupation, they have a right to feel bitter about it and it's not fair to take that away from them. Can you imagine if people called the Chinese and Koreans "demented" because they feel bitterness towards the Japanese occupation? That being said, they are doing too much and they should stop trying to openly antagonize the Russians.
