Manning one of those guns must be the best fraking job in the navy.

Those guns are only manned during live fire drills, General Quarters and the Special Sea an Anchor detail(entering and leaving port of transiting crowded waters) and inport depending on what "force protection" condition is set.

This is a new one on me. In my day the only thing that was dispensed through that water wash down system was sea-water.

Those guns are only manned during live fire drills, General Quarters and the Special Sea an Anchor detail(entering and leaving port of transiting crowded waters) and inport depending on what "force protection" condition is set.

Even if they only man them a few time a month it must still be a great job.
