PACIFIC OCEAN (May 13, 2009) Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technicians attached to Mobile Unit Eleven Platoon Eleven Three One (EODMU-11 PLT 1131) fast-ropes from an SH-60F Seahawk, assigned to the Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Six (HS-6), "Indians", during Helicopter Rope Suspension Training (HRST) qualifications on the flight deck aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). Nimitz is currently conducting Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) off the coast of Southern California in preparation of a scheduled Western Pacific Deployment. MANAMA, Bahrain (May 12, 2009) The amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18) prepares to return to sea fully mission capable after completing repairs at the Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (ASRY) Shipyard dry dock.
