Yeah, I know. I'm just saying it sounds weird, so it sounds like a mistranslation. Maybe I'll watch the movie and it'll clear it up for me.
It is quite strange that Russia is firing missiles on the daily now.
I'm not quite sure I understand what their objective is. If it was up to me, I would've waited until it became clear where the Ukrainian counteroffensive was going to take place, and then target the critical nodes in that area with said missiles to cripple the offensive in progress.

They're trying to deplete Ukraine's sam stockpile so they can maybe get a chance to use more tactical airpower in defending from the counteroffensive. Frankly I'm surprised that it seems to actually be working. I guess they may have managed to sort out production bottlenecks.

The real fatal mistake is misinterpreting domestic propaganda for actual military strategy. Zelensky's internal propaganda is for domestic consumption, whereas the US/NATO military strategists are effectively running this war operations on behalf of Zelensky using NATO military "advisors" on the ground. NATO "advisors" essentially controls the timing of any counteroffensive, and quite frankly, NATO could careless about restoring Crimea, Donbass, or territories, they care more about dragging this war out to bleed Russia more than anything else. If it means postponing counteroffensive to dig trenches and maintain defensive posture, so be it.
Instead, Russia needs to fully mobolize atleast 1M troops, if not more. Also enter into war-time production, and take this war much more seriously than it has so far. The limited S.M.O. mindset is outdated once NATO started pouring it's resources into Ukraine.
Being a infantry conscript about 20 years ago and a current reserve member, I think that I do know.
6 to 8 years in prison doesn't sound too bad, better than 2 weeks of recruit training.
