So, how's Kherson front ? Seems news coming from there are kinda slow nowadays despite apparently Ukrainian forces being only 10-20 km from Kherson city.

I don't think Ukrainians can take back Kherson. Kherson is hardcore pro Russia. Plus it's a pretty big city and strategically located at the mouth of Dnipr.

We have all done so well so far over a week running and up to 75 pages without any major problems.
Yet suddenly I feel the fall in quality today
So here is definite moderation guidance:
No Name calling or slurs against either side. You don't have the like the other team, but there is no need to descend to the kindergarten.

At the end of the day, two sides of ideologically opposed but very brave men are putting there all on the line for what they believe. I think that deserves some respect and a little dignity at the end,
So decorum and grace in your postings please gentlemen, no need to get into gutter. Its already full.
I will have a thread to be proud of and my patience is wearing more than just a little thin.

I notice there's no to few popular uprisings or insurgency inside Russian controlled areas.

This leads me to question whether Ukrainian morale is as high as it is portrayed. In WW2 there were near constant uprisings and guerilla attacks against German and Japanese occupation forces. In the Vietnam War insurgent forces could even strike Saigon.

This also leads me to hypothesize that Russia not going after Ukrainian infrastructure in the east like electricity and telecom even though they could have is at least in part because they don't want to provoke an insurgency, which they won't have the manpower to manage.

In Donbas the people are pro Russia. Considering they were bombed by Kiev artillery for 8 years straight, no reason for them to attack Russians whom they consider saviors.

Even in Kherson and Zhaphorizhzhia Oblasts, there are no popular uprisings, showing that even without direct historical experience of Russian aid, people don't care enough to rise up.

Interesting comments from Ben Wallace, the UK defence minister. Apparently the UK is going around the world buying Russian equipment to give to the Ukraine.
He also seems to think only 23 countries have Russian equipment, which is obviously not true.

Any thoughts what he's buying and who from? No doubt India would be the prime candidate.

Just waiting for the ridiculous moment when some African country places an order with NORINCO for 150 Type-86A with 30mm turret, and they end up in Europe...

Also suddenly the Z-20 program gets a big boost as Mi-17 is withdrawn sooner than anticipated. This really is starting to look like 80's Afghanistan war more and more.
