If they are alive they most likely cannon fodder. Saudis have preference for West. so better get some brownie points in public. I read there was Moroccan also in it. with Arab support Russia can practically rule world.

Russia isn't planning on using nukes in the Ukraine. If they were, why bother with the mobilisation?

If there is anyone who will use nukes in Ukraine it will be NATO. Just like they planned to use nukes in Germany back in the Cold War.
Back then the plan was that when the Warsaw Pact concentrated forces to do a city assault, they would just nuke the city and kill both the civilians and the Warsaw Pact troops. The US had plans to do this, and so did France.

Russia will not be using nukes right next to their border. They can continue escalating conventionally if they want to. They can do carpet bombing for example and thus far they have refrained from doing it.

If Russia wants to let the Moroccan to improve relations with the Arab world fine, but do you think anything will change by freeing the westerners? Russia will still be demonised.

Whatever promises were made privately by the west will be broken, mark my words. The mercenaries that were freed will all talk about how terrible their detention was. Even though they were pampered and treated better than Ukrainian soldiers, they will act like they were in Guantanamo bay.

Do we have any idea whether Russia is going to shift industrial production as part of its mobilization? They do have a dire need for more pgms/guided missiles for use on the front.
